Almost every child, with rare exceptions, begins to portray on paper something meaningful already at the age of two. The same story happened to Konstantin Sterkhov. But he, in addition, was lucky. His child's hand was professionally corrected by a real artist - his own uncle, became the first art teacher. The further path to art was predestined, and from the moment when little Kostya began to remember and realize himself.

The most important milestone in his education, Sterkhov considers the institution of Repin, that is, the Moscow Academy of Arts. And the reason for this he calls the preserved traditions of the Russian artistic academic school. From the walls of the alma mater the artist emerged as a professional. He focused on design classes and, at the same time, began to read courses on art in Europe. Great influence on his creative process had the nature of Finland. She is very close to the homeland of the artist - Constantine Sterkhov was born in Udmurtia - and with his reflections in the water and turquoise lakes caused in his memory the impressions of childhood.

Yosman Botero on the new boundaries of traditional painting

The Colombian artist and installer, Yosman Botero (Yosman Botero) continues to amaze his grateful admirers. He has long been known for his unconventional views of the world, reflected in works of art. And once again proved it with his new works, which united under the promising title "The Empty I". Although, at first glance at them, it certainly seems that somebody is examining the heroes from the outside. His three-dimensional works of contemporary art Botero creates by combining several layers of acrylic paints on plexiglass, forms with their help three-dimensional drawings that look like an author's study of the subject. As a child, Scott Belcastro began his ironic game with a color structure, forcing him to work on his own feelings, and not against them, as is often inherent in the nature of things. On this occasion, he built a solid own concept, which is based on the principle of minimalism and rigid specifics.

It all began with the surrounding atmosphere - a boy he grew up in a small town, sandwiched in the dark forests of the harsh New York State. In this place, there were few sunny days, so the dark trees, at the same time, became a captivity for man and a safe haven for a diverse flattery of brethren. The habit of living quietly and intimately preserved for life. Anyone who comes to visit the artist can experience simple, but such human pleasures: plenty to play with the puppies, water the garden from the hose, eat a few buckets of popsicles and admire the best performance of nature - every evening to watch how to go to sleep the earthly luminary.
